個人簡介： Dr. Wei Victor Liu is a tenured associate professor and registered professional engineer in the School of Mining & Petroleum Engineering and the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Before joining the academia, he worked as a geotechnical engineer in Canada’s Arctic Region, focusing on Arctic mining projects composed of rock/soil mechanics, ground freezing, and geothermal modeling. His research focuses on the design, modelling, and use of sustainable cement-based materials for the mining industry. Experimental and modelling work aside, he and his research group are emerging leaders in applying machine learning methods to sustainable cement-based mixtures and truck productivity at mine sites.
